Last Days Of Summer | Long Island Family Photographer | Shira Z Photography

I have so many new sessions to post but I thought it was time for a more personal post for a change! I’ve been much better about taking more photos for myself so I figured I’d share a few.  I can’t believe its October already. I had such a great summer that went by way too quickly as usual! The last few weeks were pretty crazy. We had to evacuate our home when Hurricane Irene hit so we spent the night at my Sister-in-laws house out East and Talia had so much fun with her cousins!

I tried to quickly take a few photos around town when we got back the next day. We had some flooding in 2 of our bedrooms and needed to replace the floors but we got pretty lucky thank goodness!

Quicksilver Pro came to Long Beach this year! I don’t know much about it besides that it was a big time surf competition which brought lots of cute guys to town and a fun surf shop on the boardwalk 🙂 Apparently there were supposed to be some concerts, skateboarding, etc. that got cancelled after the hurricane. We went to check it out but never woke up early enough to see the actual competition. It was still fun!

We took Talia to the Bronx Zoo for the first time with her Bff Lexi!

They were playing Dora in 4D, I couldn’t get enough of the girls in their glasses.

more fun at the zoo…

Lexi checking out the gorillas! They were really cool, definitely my favorite part of the day!

We had our family photos taken by the amazing Zoe Berkovic ! These are just a few favorites..

Talia started Nursery School and Gymnastics! She is finally starting to like school (it took a few weeks!!). I am really hoping her teacher will help move things along with her potty training. Talia told me the other day that she doesn’t want to go on the potty because she likes being a baby!! oy. Anyway, she looooves Gymnastics!

I’m so lucky to have a great group of friends and this year was our 3rd Annual Girls Weekend! We went to Newport, RI, it was so pretty! We did lots of shopping and eating and even got to watch a little 90210 like old times 🙂

And just a few more photos I took while at the beach/park…

Adi took this one 🙂

My mush in her ridiculous Dora sunglasses lol.

Next on the agenda are some apple or pumpkin picking photos! That and lots of holiday sessions! Can’t wait!
