I’m not going to lie, I was pretty nervous for this Day In The Life shoot with LKSquared Photography. I wanted to lose weight first, have the cleaning lady come, get my hair and nails done, have our clothes planned out, but of course none of that happened. And none of it mattered. I knew I had to do this from the moment I met Lauren and heard about documentary photography. I’d look at her work and videos of families I’d never met before and find myself tearing up. I was so jealous that they had all those moments captured so beautifully. A whole day, from wake up to bedtime. I take tons of photos of my girls but it’s different when you have the whole story. Plus, I get to be in the photos for a change!!! Oh and my husband had no problem with it once he heard he wouldn’t have to smile for even one photo 🙂
Some people might not understand why I’d want photos of my girls making me crazy, crying, or full of boogers. This is why.

You can see even more from our day on Lauren’s blog here!
If there’s even a small part of you that thinks you might want this captured for your family I say do it. You won’t regret it, but you might regret waiting.
I did it! 3 Januarys in a row without cheating, which I did think about a couple times! I hate feeling like I need to have my camera with me at all times, but I do love having these memories captured (and not just on my cell phone). I’m thinking about doing a monthly personal blog post. This way I’ll still be forced to take more photos, but not necessarily every day. Good idea?
Thanks again to everyone that followed along and especially those of you that interacted on my Facebook page! Facebook has made it very difficult for people to see business page posts. The more interaction a photo receives, the more likely it is to show up in newsfeeds. So if you want to continue to see my posts, make sure to like, comment, and/or share whenever possible! You can also change your settings to receive notifications anytime I post. (click here to see how!)
Today we met my parents at the mall. Of course, they managed to convince them that they needed new dolls at the Disney store 🙂

If you’re interested in having your family photographed, don’t wait until Spring. Children grow and change so quickly. I love to capture families in their homes, just as much as I love to outdoors! Email me today for prices or to book a session! firstname.lastname@example.org
And a collage of my Photo-A-Day for 2016:
There is nothing better than an ice cream date with my girls after school!

I got sucked into a game of hide and seek while her sister was at Hebrew school today. It’s so hard to say no to this face. 🙂

Remember this gorgeous girl?
She is one year old already! I had a blast with her at the beach. She was in heaven as long as she was free to run and play. It was the cutest!!
This photo session was a gift for Dad/Grandpa’s 70th birthday. I hope he loved it 🙂
